Our trainers have been involved in lacrosse since they were able to carry sticks. Scott Olive, Richie Moore and Ron Caputo are from Long Island, Nick Holota is from New Jersey. Also new additions Jay Vaglio from Kansas and Nathan Farabee of Durham have been added to our team of trainers. Collectively they have seen the best lacrosse from youth through professional. All of our trainers are certified coaches and US Lacrosse members.
The shared ambition is to help any kid with a stick become a better lacrosse player. There is not a starting line up at lacrosse lessons and everyone is there to improve. This would be the time to try the things that you don't want to mess up in a game or team practice. If you want to work on something, all you have to do is ask one of the trainers and they will oblige. Training sessions require full equipment and safety is always first.
There will be lessons all year round with a slow down in the spring, since everyone will be with their respective teams during the main lacrosse season. As of now the lessons have been every Saturday from mid morning through early afternoon. The younger players and beginners start the first hour, the middle school players have the second hour and the high school players finish the day. With more interest, Sundays will be added to the schedule. When daylight savings changes there will be week nights added.
Lacrosse Trainer will travel and provide lessons or clinics for any organization in the Triangle Area. Field space is always an issue, so if your organization can provide the field space we can provide the Lacrosse Trainers. Most coaches have all of their time occupied with team events and as a result the individual attention for each player becomes impossible. This is the void we want to fill as we help to improve your team or organization one player at a time.
